John Pappanastos — CEO and President

John Pappanastos joined EFG Companies’ board of directors in February 2006 and became chief executive officer and president in February 2007. His evangelistic spirit and vision breathes life into the organization every day. John oversees and provides leadership, direction, and guidance for all business activities at EFG. He acts as the chief strategy officer to develop and implement the strategy and vision for the organization to advance its long-term business goals, as well as promote profitability, growth, and increasing service discipline. Prior to joining the EFG senior team, John served in multiple senior capacities for BellSouth Corporation, including strategy, finance, product development, and operations.

Eric Fifield — Executive Vice President, Sales & Acquisitions Strategies

Eric Fifield brings more than 24 years of automotive industry experience to EFG Companies. As the executive vice president of Sales and Acquisitions Strategies, he is responsible for client development and acquisition. Eric’s veracious attitude holds the team accountable for setting continuously higher standards and providing our clients with the highest level of expertise and engagement. Prior to EFG, Eric served as the regional sales manager and vice president of sales for Great American Insurance. His career began with the Penske Corporation as an ASE Certified Technician, where he worked in many capacities including the director of training. Eric’s clients have included organizations such as AutoNation, Ford Motor Company, Honda Motor Company, Chicago Automobile Trade Association, and hundreds of agents and dealers across the country.

Susan Jewell — Human Resources Director

With more than 29 years of experience in human resources, Susan Jewell brings hands-on experience in recruiting, personnel selection, employee relations, benefits and compensation administration, workplace learning, and diversity initiatives to her role as human resources director. Every employee at EFG Companies has at some point been captured by Susan’s camera. The passion she puts into all endeavors is what drives her to make sure every employee feels empowered as a member of the team. With years of training and insight into recruiting and retaining top performers, Susan plays a leadership role in creating an employee-centric, high-performance culture.

Mark Rappaport — President, Simplicity Division

Mark Rappaport brings more than 29 years of business acumen to his role as the president of EFG’s Simplicity Division. Simplicity opens new revenue streams for affinity partners through value-driven consumer protection products and market- differentiating programs that significantly enhance customer loyalty, increase retention and stimulate customer activation levels. He is responsible for the development of new channels to deliver EFG’s existing product portfolio to market, as well as innovating new, needs-driven and customized products that enable clients to capture greater marketshare at lower cost per customer acquisition. Mark started his career with The Richards Group, and has led market development initiatives for blue chip brands, such as Fleet Boston Financial, Pizza Inn, TXU, Mrs. Baird’s, Grupo Bimbo, Jack Daniels, HCA Hospitals, Verizon and Motel 6.

Jennifer A. Rappaport — Chief Marketing Officer

Jennifer Rappaport is a 24-year marketing veteran with experience spanning both national and global organizations such as Shell Global Solutions, Sprint Retail, and the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Her quick wit and extensive factoid knowledge makes it easy for Jennifer to stay on the cutting edge of market trends. As the chief marketing officer of EFG Companies, she develops go-to-market strategies and turnkey marketing programs for the organization’s clients as a means of differentiating and driving their business. Her team pairs traditional marketing services with online contact strategies designed to boost customer traffic and enhance customer loyalty. Prior to her tenure with EFG Companies, Jennifer served as president and chief operating officer of The Point Group for almost 10 years, where she helped drive more than $60 million in capitalized billings and served clients globally through an integrated marketing communications model which included branding, research, digital marketing, interactive design and development, search engine optimization, advertising, and public relations.

John Stephens — Executive Vice President, Dealer Services

As the executive vice president of Dealer Services at EFG Companies, John Stephens directs the company’s direct sales and service channel, providing EFG’s solutions and engagement to auto dealers. John acts as an extension of his clients’ management teams and is responsible for leading the EFG account service professionals in optimizing the profitability of EFG’s direct dealer partners and supporting the use of EFG products and services. John started his career at IBM as an account administrator, where he oversaw the installation of IBM services in universities, hospitals, and independent school districts. Following IBM, John moved into the retail automotive industry, where he spent the last 26 years. John served as a general sales manager for Mac Haik Automotive Group, and during his tenure, his store ranked number seven in the nation for unit sales.

Gabe Aldrete — Vice President, Dealer Services

As the the vice president of Dealer Services, Gabe Aldrete is responsible for all blocks of business managed by EFG representatives. He ensures that each dealership client is performing at benchmark levels while staying compliant with state laws. Because of his team’s strategic management, two of their dealership clients have been finalists as industry award recipients within the last two years. Gabe joined EFG in 2008 and after distinguishing himself at the account executive level, Gabe moved up to regional manager of business development. In this capacity, he conducted store assessments and set three-year forecasts for dealerships who applied EFG’s recommended processes to increase sales and F&I production. Gabe’s unique combination of competition and compassion has helped Gabe maintain top-level performance throughout his entire career. In all his previous positions, Gabe continuously increased production levels, starting with Don Davis Ford as a finance manager. At Southwest Ford, he increased PRV production by 45% while growing VSC and GAP production to 70%.

Gary Biskup — Regional Vice President, Independent Services

Gary Biskup brings more than 18 years of experience to his role as the regional vice president of Independent Services at EFG Companies. Gary leads EFG’s growth in the independent dealership space by addressing the individual challenges his independent dealership clients face, and providing custom service solutions, including pay plan development, ongoing monthly training and compliance audits. Prior to joining EFG Companies, he served as the CFO for Argos Automotive Consulting, designing and setting up systems for dealers and lenders in DFW and Oklahoma City. Gary has also served as the finance director for Van Tuyl Auto Group, Sam Pack Ford, and Park Place Dealerships, where he developed the reputation of cultivating high-performance teams.

Rick Christensen — Vice President, Product Development

Rick Christensen brings more than 26 years of retail and wholesale automotive and reinsurance experience to his position as the vice president of Product Development at EFG Companies. In this role, Rick utilizes his wealth of experience in leading and developing the strategic efforts of EFG’s product development team, including product lifecycle and relationship management, as well as EFG’s reinsurance initiatives. In his previous roles, he has overseen the launch of global strategic alliance formations, with the development of brand and sales processes, reinsurance models, and regulatory and compliance practices. Rick most recently served as a senior director at Hyundai Capital America (HCA), where he was responsible for launching and managing a captive insurance subsidiary of HCA. He also served as president, Nissan Global Reinsurance, Ltd based in Bermuda, and functioned as a senior manager of Vehicle Service Contracts for Nissan North America, in Los Angeles.

Michael Clause — Vice President, Sales & Acquisitions

Michael Clause brings more than 33 years of experience in the automotive industry to EFG Companies. As the vice president of Sales and Acquisitions, Michael leads EFG’s efforts in acquiring new relationships with franchise dealers and agents, as well as manufacturers. In his extensive industry experience, Michael has worked nearly every aspect of the automotive industry from both the service provider standpoint and dealership standpoint. Prior to EFG, Michael served as the managing partner of RCR Business Group for 12 years, which oversaw three extended warranty companies. Michael is AFIP certified.

Todd Cooper — Vice President, Training Services

Todd Cooper brings more than 28 years of industry experience in managing performance metrics, profitability and business growth for dealers coast-to-coast to his role at EFG Companies. Todd utilizes this experience as the Vice President of Training Services, where he has the unique foresight to provide both daily management of EFG’s training services team, and the ability to evolve the company’s training initiatives to meet dealership challenges. Throughout his career, Todd developed his extensive training and communicating skills by leading initiatives such as GMAC Leasing Training, Field Team Development at GM, an eContracting Platform Launch and training across EFG’s dealerbase, S-Guard Training for Santander Consumer USA, and Chrysler Capital Leasing, Wholesale Floorplan, and Fleet and Commercial Sales Training. Todd joined EFG Companies in 2010, after more than two decades of experience with General Motors, where he held various regional, field, and marketing positions with GMAC, Saturn, Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and Hummer.

Hollis Goode — Regional Vice President, Dealer Services

As regional vice president of Dealer Services at EFG Companies, Hollis Goode sees his role as expanding on EFG’s exceptional level of service by maximizing his clients’ level of growth and productivity. On a daily basis, Hollis develops dealership performance agendas and pay plans, conducts training assessments and provides recommendations. His efforts also include designing and implementing effective group work and information systems, defining and monitoring group-level performance indicators, diagnosing and resolving problems within work groups, and designing and implementing reward systems supporting desired behavior. Prior to joining EFG, Hollis served as the Director of Finance for Group 1 Automotive where he managed multiple departments including Contract Negotiations, Portfolio Management, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Hollis began his career in retail automotive as the Director of Finance for Freeman Automotive.

Brien Joyce — Vice President, Lender Services

Brien Joyce is an accomplished, forward-thinking field executive with more than 24 years of strong multi-disciplinary experience. At EFG Companies, Brien’s major area of focus is auto finance in the credit union space, enabling credit unions to better serve members through unique value-driven market strategies and ancillary product offerings. Prior to EFG, Brien worked at Saturn Corporation as the zone manager in the Southeast region of the country, where he served as the primary retailer contact for 48 Saturn facilities in eight states. Brien has also served as the assistant director of the UAW-GM quality network process at General Motors, where he implemented a total quality management system in over 40 assembly plants. At GM, Brien’s zone had the most Summit Award-winning retailers and he received the GM Achievement Award in 2006.

Adam Ouart — Vice President, Agency Services

Adam Ouart brings more than 22 years of automotive industry experience to his position as the vice president of Agency Services at EFG Companies. In this role, Adam is responsible for dealer development through a distribution network of top-tier agents. Prior to his current role, Adam held an account executive position at EFG for 12 years, where he enabled clients to enhance their income opportunities with product development, reinsurance, ongoing training, recruiting and marketing, and compliance support. Prior to EFG, Adam worked his way up the dealership career path, starting as a porter for Buz Post Pontiac GMC Isuzu Kia in 1995, and ending with Ewing Auto Group as a Finance Director. Adam is AFIP Certified.

Ken Overly — Vice President, Operations

Ken Overly brings more than 21 years of operational experience to his role as the vice president of Operations at EFG Companies. With an always observing eye and big-picture mindset, Ken’s implementation of quality measures within EFG’s claims group exceeds industry standards. From 2014 – 2017, Ken led his team to achieve certification as a Center of Excellence by BenchmarkPortal. This recognition is one of the most prestigious awards in the customer service and support industry. Under Ken’s direction, every call is stringently tracked for quality control and speed of process. Most recently, Ken served as the vice president of IT Infrastructure at TMX Finance. His strengths include operational execution, strategic planning, and professional development and management capabilities. Ken describes himself as a strategist with a history of creating vision, building structure and delivering results.

Josh Rodriguez — Regional Vice President, Dealer Services

As regional vice president of Dealer Services at EFG Companies, Josh Rodriguez is part of the leaership team responsible for EFG’s engagement efforts in the Sourthwest. His primary goal with each client is to maximize their compliant F&I profitability while developing sustainability through F&I personnel development. On a daily basis, Josh leads his team in engraining EFG within the daily operations of his dealership clients. He manages the development dealership performance agendas and pay plans, conducts training assessments and provides recommendations. In addition, Josh is constantly evaluating dealership and economic trends to spot opportunities for his team to further advance their clients’ business. Prior to EFG, Josh served as a Finance Director for Group 1 Automotive in Oklahoma City, where he took the lowest performing store in the region and made it one of the region’s top two producers within 8 months. He then maintained that standing within the rest of his tenure. Josh also served as the Platform Finance Director for Briggs Auto Group in Kansas. In this role, he oversaw seven stores and took the lowest producing store to the top producing store within one month. Josh first made a name for himself at Davis-Moore Auto Group, where he led his team to increase new car sales by 25% and increase front gross by $700/car. He is also Master AFIP Certified.

Steve Roennau — Vice President, Compliance

In his compliance leadership role at EFG Companies, Steve Roennau utilizes his extensive industry experience to provide EFG clients a sophisticated analysis of their current compliance procedures and proactively prepare them for upcoming changes in federal and state regulations. Steve is an AFIP Senior Certified Professional in Financial Services, and has developed compliance training modules in the areas of Adverse Action, Privacy Rule, Risk-Based Pricing/Exception Notice, Red Flag Rule, Safeguards Rule, Deceptive Practices, and Federal and State Regulations. In addition, he has conducted several compliance courses, including: Compliance Workshop for Dealership Managers; AFIP Prep Course for F&I Producers; and, F&I Compliance Training for F&I Producers. Steve’s background in driving bottom-line results in F&I, sales and product management gives him strategic insight into the compliance hurdles facing both dealers and lenders. His experience includes consulting for Chrysler’s Five Star initiative, where he developed their training curriculum, conducted program pilots, and certified instructors. Steve has developed and delivered national training for Chrysler Capital, Santander Consumer USA, Hyundai, General Motors, Ford, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, and numerous dealer groups throughout the country.

Tom Rubadue — Director, Product Development

Tom Rubadue brings more than 26 years of retail and wholesale automotive and insurance experience to his position as director of Product Development at EFG Companies. In this role, Tom leads EFG’s initiatives in product innovation, taking concepts all the way through market rollout and ongoing product support. He was most recently on the executive team at Affinity Enterprise Group, where he was responsible for product and business development, in addition to key account management. Tom has also served as the president of Vehicle Insurance at First American Financial Corporation where he was part of a team that evaluated companies for mergers and acquisitions, in addition to managing complex regulatory matters. Tom holds a BA from Michigan State University, and an MBA from DePaul University.

Vincent Vann — Vice President, Technology

With more than 26 years of experience, EFG’s Vice President of Technology, Vincent Vann organizes and mechanizes EFG’s infrastructure to support scalability and EFG’s high performance standards. In 2016, Vincent led EFG’s initiative to obtain the Service Organization Control 1 Certification (SOC 1) under the Statement of Standards for Assestation Engagements 16 guidelines (SSAE16) from the American Insitute of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to joining EFG, he served as the director of professional services at Fujitsu North America. In his tenure with Fujitsu, Vincent led the company’s initiative to obtain the PCI Data Center certifications for Data Center Services. He also successfully led a win-back campaign with the Japanese-Originated Companies of Americas conglomerate, representing Japanese companies with operations in America. Prior to Fujitsu, Vincent worked with U.S. Airways and American Airlines where he served as an international liaison for the United States Airlines, Department of Transportation, and Multi-International Airport Authorities to develop and deploy an infrastructure management system to help airlines in more than 220 countries reduce cost, improve IT performance and enhance customer service quality.

Mike Washington — Vice President, Finance

Mike Washington brings more than 26 years of extensive experience as a financial executive in accounting and finance, including P&L management and strategic planning to his role as Vice President of Finance at EFG Companies. Mike provides decision-support and leadership of the day-to-day responsibility of EFG’s accounting and tax operations, financial planning, budget management, risk/reinsurance management, and legal and compliance. His collaborative approach to leadership enables him to build and foster open lines of communication between the different lines of business and corporate functions. Prior to EFG, Mike served as Sr. Director, Operational Finance for Novation, LLC, where he was responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis. He also recently served as VP, Information Technology at CBRE, where he managed strategic IT sourcing. In addition, Mike held VP, Finance and IT Controller positions at Fujitsu America and Alliance Data Systems. Mike holds a BS in accounting from Grambling State University.

Glenice Wilder — Vice President, Powersports

A 34-year industry veteran, Glenice Wilder is responsible for growing and developing EFG’s action and powersports market channel. She combines her passion for motorcycles and her dedication to serving EFG’s customers to develop solutions that consistently exceed their expectations. If anyone at EFG could be said to have gravitas, it would be Glenice. Her presence brings a sense of empowerment to everyone around her. Glenice acts as a strategic partner to assess her clients’ areas for improvement and how EFG can fill that role. She provides insight in how to increase productivity by pairing the right products within the right markets for the greatest return on investment.
